Example for 6 players:
Take equal turns as host who picks a song or songs. Players try to guess the artist and title of the song, using the score pads.
Players get 5 points if they guess either the artists or title (spelling should not be an issue, and there should be some leeway on closeness, however, majority rules should keep disputes to a minimum)
Example: Blue Suede Shoes by Elvis Presley - you should give the points if they guessed "Perkins" or if they just said "Blue Shoes"
So each player can score 10 points per turn.
If no one guesses anything correctly, no points to anyone for that turn.
The hosts get 9 points if anyone guesses a song or artist correctly and deduct 1 point for any correct guesses of song or artists from the other players.
Examples:
everyone guesses correctly: 9-9=0
3 artists correct, 2 titles correct: 9-4=5
(strategy) think of who might know a song that no one else knows...
the possibility of 10 points per player should discourage the 5 players’ intentionally guessing wrong so the host does not advance. However, you may use an optional rule of the person leading in points has to skip a turn as host. This is meant to be a social game, so it may be revealing if there is 1 person that the other 5 "gang up on"
